Contagious? Yes, hopefully very. That’s the point isn’t it? The ultimate goal of viral marketing entail the ability to spread a message across a wide audience, and do so with little or no involvement on the part of those responsible for creating the message. Similar to word of mouth, viral marketing is based on popularity. Best of all viral marketing is often free. Unlike a computer virus that’s unintentionally distributed among unsuspecting victims, a successful viral marketing campaign is often the result of enthusiastic, partisan opinion expressed through the sharing of a message by various available forms of media. |

Website hosting is often taken for granted. With a 99% uptime guarantee, most hosting companies have no problem fulfilling their obligation to their customers considering the specifics of the guarantee. How much is 1% downtime? Considering the calendar year has 365 days, one percent of this value is 3.65 days. Though this may not seem like much when compared to the other 361 days when uptime is guaranteed, it can translate into significant revenue losses. The major issue with server downtime is that in most cases, website owners and/or administrators won't know their websites are down unless they have a site monitor device installed or, the worse case scenario, when a client experiences difficulty accessing the website and is prompted to call in the issue. |
